How to Get a Boat Quote
A practical checklist so your first quote request is complete enough for a real plan — not a placeholder number.

A useful boat transport quote is built from measurements, access notes, and dates — not from a single length number and two city names. This page walks through what Logi Transports LLC needs so we can reply with equipment, timing, and a price that holds up when the truck is assigned.
Step 1: Identify the vessel
List type (center console, sailboat, yacht, etc.), make and model if known, and approximate year. Add LOA, beam, and best-known height on trailer or cradle. If you are unsure of height, measure from ground to the highest point you will leave installed — T-top, radar, antenna base, or mast step area. Note whether the boat is currently in the water, on a trailer you own, or on jack stands.
Step 2: Pin origin and destination
City and ZIP are the minimum. Marina or yard names help. Mention gated communities, dirt roads, low tree canopies, and any rule that bans large trucks after certain hours. If delivery is to a home driveway, confirm turning room for a truck and trailer. If the last mile must be owner-trailered from a public ramp, say so up front.
Step 3: Share dates and constraints
- Preferred pickup window (a range is better than one day)
- Hard deadlines: closing, survey, crane appointment, storage start date
- Flexibility: can you accept midweek pickup? Weekend only?
Permit lead time on wider loads can add days. The earlier you send complete info, the more options we can offer inside your window.
Step 4: Attach photos
Side profile, stern, and a shot showing the trailer or cradle. Extra credit: a photo of the pickup entrance. Soft tops and canvas should be visible so we can discuss windage. Sail owners should note mast status in the caption or message body.

What happens after you submit
We review dimensions against equipment, check corridor realities, and follow up with questions only where something is missing. When the plan fits, you receive pricing and next steps for prep and scheduling. Read prep for haul so pickup day is smooth. Service pages: boat transport, powerboats, sailboats, yachts. Geography: coverage. Help: FAQ · contact.

Keep a copy of your confirmation email handy on pickup day so gate staff and yards see the same details we do. When in doubt about a measurement, round up and send a photo — correcting early is cheaper than correcting at the ramp.
